This service has polygon layers for the following boundary types: State, Counties, Cites, Towns, Cities and Towns combined, Villages, and Indian Territories. In addition, there are separate shoreline layers for the State layer and the County layer. Boundaries are at 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy except for the shoreline in State_Shoreline and Counties_Shoreline which is being adjusted to 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy as part of ongoing work. Boundary changes are made as needed and based on authoritative sources. See metadata for each layer for additional information.
